Giuseppe Rossi, General Manager

Giuseppe Rossi, General Manager of the Hotel Splendide Royal in Lugano (Switzerland) and Managing Director of Roberto Naldi Collection, spent his youth in Italy.

After completing the hospitality school at the age of 18, he knew he was going to spend most of his life travelling and in fact, he soon left for England. His first travels took him to England, France, Germany and Switzerland, where we worked for prestigious hotel groups. In 1982, he decided to settle in Lugano with his family. In the same year, he met Aniello Lauro, the well-known General Manager of the Hotel Splendide Royal, with whom he worked for five years.

After having temporarily left Lugano to advance in his career, Mr. Rossi started to work in the corporate department of luxury hotels: first in Switzerland, then in Paris as Director of Sales Southern Europe for Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts. Later on, he worked in Capri for four years as the General Manager of the historic Grand Hotel Quisisana, a hotel visited by a worldfamous clientele with the highest expectations.

In 2002, after his return to Lugano, he became the General Manager of the Grand Hotel Eden: he managed the hotel until 2008, when he was appointed as General Manager of the historic Hotel Splendide Royal, a member of the Leading Hotels of the World and Swiss Deluxe Hotels.
