Only the luxury hotels and destinations with a perfect online reputation  are  eligible to receive the Luxury Tourism Awards, the prestigious recognition assigned in Switzerland to the stars of the worldwide luxury travel industry.

The selection of the Best Online Reputation Hotels and Online Luxury Destinations candidated to receive the Luxury Tourism Award is done through Web2rism, an innovative scientific technology developed by the University of Lugano and a professional team of academics, researchers and web experts, a project financially supported by the Swiss Confederation itself.

Since 2012, only the luxury destinations with the best online reputation are certified Online Luxury Destination and become eligible for the prestigious Luxury Tourism Award for destinations.

Be referred to as a luxury destination with an excellent online reputation means to have achieved excellent results in the enhancement of a territory for a specific segment of tourists.

The Online Luxury Destinations have therefore the opportunity to receive an international award that highlights the potential of a destination in the luxury tourism industry.
