Selection Criteria

Only the most elegant and refined luxury hotels and destinations in Europe receive the Luxury Tourism Award, the prestigious recognition for the stars of luxury tourism.

To satisfy the selection criteria of the Committee, the selected Hotels have been evaluated on the basis of their online reputation on the main wordlwide booking engines and websites with user-generated contents.

As scientific tool of analysis, the LTA Committee has used the innovative Web2rism techonology, developed by the University of italian Switzerland of Lugano. Through this innovative scientific tool, only the most appreciated 5* and 5*L Hotels and international luxury destionations, according to the reviews published on the main worldwide booking engines, will concurr to collect the prestigious Luxury Tourism Award.

The Luxury Tourism Award will then be assigned to that one hotel and that one destination that will prove to be the best representatives of the tourism of luxury based on the opinion expressed by buyers Meeting Luxury.

The Best Online Reputation Hotels

The Selection criteria:

To evaluate online reputation of each luxury hotel selected, Web2rism technology has first of all analyzed the reviews made by users of all the hotels in each destination on the basis of the following criteria: 1. Cleaning 2. Service Quality 3. Position

Only the best Hotel for each destination has been selected to be its own city’s representative and take part to the ceremony to receive the Luxury Tourism Award.

Online Luxury Destinations

The Selection criteria:

The luxury destinations with an excellent  online reputation compete for the Luxury Tourism Award for destinations.

The online reputation of each target destination is analyzed through Web2rism and subsequently examined by the Scientific Committee which presides the LTA, which takes into account the relevance to general principles characterizing the luxury tourism industry as accommodation, catering, business offers, entertainment and events and many others.
