The destinations called by the Organising Committee to become
candidates for the Luxury Tourism Awards are subjected to a
thorough screening process where they must comply with the scrupulous
criteria set for assessment and evaluation.
The selection will be executed in different stages. The destinations,
for example, will have to comply with the minimum requirements
requested by the award regulation. To be accepted as candidate
each location must be comform to at least 7 out of 10 selection
criteria.
For hotel and resorts, on the contrary, “Luxury”
will be equated to the AAA Tourism 5 star rating or equal high
standards.
